Why not spruce up your brownies with chocolate chunks, caramel sauce, chocolate sauce and pecans? If you love turtle recipes, you will want to bookmark this page for future reference; these turtle brownies… well, I have no words. Pretty simple to make, but absolute gourmet flavor!
Choose your favorite brownie mix, mine being Ghirardelli chocolate chunk (hmmmmm) and prepare as directed by the box. Once cooled you are set to design your delectable turtle brownie! While the brownie is baking you can quickly whip up some caramel sauce. You can also use caramel and chocolate sauce from a jar, either way you will have a dessert to treasure.
- 1 cup caramels
- 2 T Milk
- 1 T Butter
- Simply add all three ingredients and microwave in 20 second increments (mix between each increment with a microwave save spoon) until the caramel sauce is smooth.
Sprinkle the top of the brownie with a bit of confectioners sugar (optional). Add caramel sauce, then chocolate sauce and a pecan to each serving. If you are serving a crowd of pecan lovers, then go ahead and crush the pecans and add them all over the top of the brownie in the rich caramel sauce. My kiddos will not eat pecans, so I like to add them in each serving so they can easily be removed.
By all means use this recipe for family dinners, special occasions at work or to surprise someone who has been on your mind. Gourmet flavors in an easy to prepare recipe right at your finger tips! You cannot go wrong with this turtle brownie for any event… I can barely keep my family out of it long enough to grab a picture! Enjoy!
