Do you like to create your own recipes?  How about Gluten free recipes?  Have you ever considered using coconut oil in your recipes?

I, honesty, had heard of Coconut Oil but had no idea it had so many uses it has nor was I aware that it could be a key ingredient in Gluten Free cooking!  I don’t, as a rule, use a lot of Gluten Free recipes but I am intrigued and excited about Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil!

I used the Coconut Oil I received in a variety of ways!  I used it in place of olive oil to fry chicken, pork chops and even ham at Easter!  Just use it as a replacement for your usual oils and choose this alternative for healthier, lighter recipes!

Check out more ways to use it below:

My favorite way to use it so far is in a store bought cake!  Now, I took a TON of photos of using Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil as a substitute to the oil the mix called for.  I melted down the coconut oil, blended it really well and the cupcakes I made came out light and fluffy!  But I can not for the life of my find my photos in my massive albums so I am using stock photos, with permission, from the Tropical Traditions website.  However, I did make them and they were SO GOOD and you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference between the regular recipe and the one with the coconut oil.  Just make sure the coconut oil melts completely and that you have no lumps!

There really are so many Gluten Free recipes on the Tropical Traditions website.  Check out the Foolproof Gluten Free Cake Recipe that I am trying next!   Yes, we make a lot of sweets in this house!  So making them a little healthier makes me happy!

Find out more about what Virgin Coconut Oil is and it’s many uses too!  I bet you’ll be surprised at what you can do and how to make things Gluten Free that you did not think you could do before!
