My family’s favorite cookie is the Snickerdoodle, hands down! My son even asks for Snickerdoodle cookies in lieu of a birthday cake. Hearing of a candy coated popcorn in a Snickerdoodle flavor, well, I just had to try it. We love our popcorn, but honestly, we’re simple people. Lightly buttered, lightly salted is all that’s needed to satisfy our taste buds. Regardless, my kids were eager to try Pop it, Top it! Popcorn, by North Aire Market, Inc.
What first struck me was the packaging. It had a “simple but elegant” look. Everything you need is included right in the bag. Super simple! The bag contains 1 bag of popcorn, 1 bag of candy melts, and 1 bag of a top secret topping. This was very easy to prepare, and it’s all done right in the microwave. 3 simple steps – pop the popcorn, melt the candy, mix it all together and mix in the secret topping.
Easy, right? I was impressed with how much popcorn I ended up with. Since we eat a lot of microwave popcorn, this bag was easily double what we usually have. Once the popcorn was popped, I moved on to the candy melts. I put these in a glass measuring cup and microwaved at 30 second intervals until they were melted, mixing in between. All the candy was nicely melted in 2 1/2 minutes. Then I drizzled this onto the popcorn and gently mixed it. Step 3 – the TOP SECRET TOPPING (hhhmm, it looked and smelled like cinnamon and sugar). Tossed it all together and BAM! Snickerdoodle popcorn! I poured it onto a wax paper covered tray to let it cool before eating. YUM! I can see why it their website says this stuff is practically addicting!
What I love about this is yeah, sure – you see flavored popcorn being sold in tins all the time, but do you REALLY know how fresh it is? Plus, this is fun! You can get very creative by adding things like nuts, sprinkles, candy pieces – whatever your taste buds are craving! Pretzel bits, maybe? I’m looking forward to seeing what flavors this company will come up with next!
Speaking of the company, North Aire Market, Inc, I spent a little time navigating around their website. This company sounds wonderful, and both Maggie and Mary seem honest, genuine, and downright FUN to be around (read Maggie’s Working Philosophy in the About Us section!). This is a company I am happy to get behind, and I may have to sample some of their other products as well!

I like the freshness of the popcorn, I agree with you, you don’t know how long the popcorn has been in those tins. I am interested in trying out a few of the Cheese Ball Mixes.
