The FREE PlayTown App for Kids is Super Fun

My kids are hooked on their tablets and my iPhone and if I let them, they would play on them all day. But I am very stringent when it comes to screen time. When they do get it, though, I want them to have fun, plat something fun and hopefully learn something as well. Recently, I was told about the FREE PlayTown app! I downloaded it and have been playing around on it ever since.

PlayTown is FREE to download for Android and iOS and includes 3 Adventure Play Sets. Additional play sets can be purchased for $1.99 each.

I absolutely love this. Kids can choose characters, backdrops, clothing, accessories, music and so much more. And then, when they setting is ready, they can tell a story with the characters. I showed my 4 year old the app and she spent most of her screen time on the ‘dressing room’ portion of the app. She dressed a parrot, princesses and mermaids and loved it. We took a photo of her and put it on the Parrott to make it even more personal!

Next was story telling time. This is a really neat feature and one of my favorites. Kids can choose their background -3 come free – and then move them around and talk to the app and it will all come out as a story. The kids can add music, accessories and more to the story to make it even more fun! When they are done, they can save it in the ‘scene’ they want – party, adventure, etc – and then share it with their PlayTown friends!

Megan LOVED this and so did I. It promotes imagination, thinking skills and gives the kids a sense of pride.

The app does so much more and as you unlock scenes and such – most are $1.99 – your kids can explore even more. Pirates, princesses and more are all available!
