PlanToys- Sustainable Toys Review for Simply Fantastic Imaginative Play!
Toys come in so many shapes and sizes and materials to meet the individuals needs of all children. Recently, I was able to introduce these amazing toys from PlanToys to the special little gal in my life! PlanToys makes sustainable toys, and being new to that terminology, I wondered what it all meant. For over 30 years, PlanToys has been recycling wood from expired rubber wood trees to create wooden toys that will inspire your child’s imagination and foster sustainable play for generations to come. These toys are truly inspiring!
We were sent the Alphabet Blocks and the Activity Clock for our review and we could not have been more pleased with these options! Upon opening the boxes, you can tell that these toys are going to stand up to kids playing and being rough with them for years to come. They are firm wooden toys that will be able to be passed down for generations and I am happy to start right now in our family!
The alphabet blocks which have letters on one side with a corresponding picture to go with the letter on the other side. These are great for teaching your kids the whole alphabet as well as associating animals and objects that start with that letter. My kids were using the letters to spell words as well as make stories up with the objects on the back side of the pieces. It amazes me how their imaginations really bloomed just with seeing letters and pictures!
The Activity Clock is really terrific! It is sturdy so it will stand up to kids being rough with it as they try to change the time. It comes with different cards so that you can start teaching your child what time they do certain activities like brushing their teeth, playing outside, or going to school (what an innovative idea to help them integrate time learning with routines)! You also receive several blank ones that you could use with an erasable marker to make up other activities and I appreciate them thinking outside of the box! We all know that no two families have the same schedule and this is such a fabulous idea. My kids like how they can move the hands of the clock around by themselves and they are starting to understand why those arms move. As a mom, I really like seeing toys that are worth their weight in imagination, learning, and durability. PlanToys has a ton of toy options that will spark imagination, create fun for kids, and provide amazingly educational experiences at the same time.
