I got an email from my mailbox that a package had been received. Thinking it was any number of things I picked it up, brought it home and decided to open it later when the kids were not around. When I did open it, the smile on my face grew larger and larger as more and more wonderful Peanuts merchandise spilled out from Oriental Trading! I could have a party or 5 with all of the amazing things that Oriental Trading has to offer!
Few things bring a smile to my face like The Peanuts do. The classic cartoon was a mainstay in my childhood on Sunday morning. I remember strips being clipped and houses on the fridge to read all week as we waiting for the next Sunday to roll around. Movies like The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Christmas were reasons to stay up late and eat popcorn in the living room.
So seeing all of this stuff: napkins, plates, popcorn holders, candy tins, finger puppets, Thanksgiving and Halloween crafts and so, so much more just warmed me from the inside out. When I showed the box to the kids it was reason to sit down and enjoy an afternoon of Peanuts fun!
I filled the popcorn holders, added candy to the sweet tins and handed out a photo frame craft, Peanuts holiday welcome signs, Peanuts scratch off items and Peanuts crayons that would be perfect for a goodie bag. I thought all of this would make awesome fall birthday crafts at a party for kids!
