I love making my girls lunch with a fun little love note. I especially love it when my girls come home and tell me how much they enjoyed their lunch or how many people wanted to trade lunches with them. Makes me proud.
Here are a few of our favorite school lunch ideas that have been kid approved!
Let’s start off with a popular one. Here’s the Grape jelly rolled pinwheels! Not only do the kids like them but they are easy to make. You can add apples and carrots as seen in the photo for a nice healthy fun lunch! Head over here to see exactly how to make these grape roll ups!
Meatloaf swords top our list because any time you can add a sword in the name the kids rave about it! This school lunch idea is perfect when you need to use leftovers too! Don’t forget to add ketchup as a dipping sauce!
If you child loves pizza you have got to try some homemade pizza buns! These can be made with a can dough and topped with your favorite toppings. They don’t need to be heated because they taste so good at room temperature which makes these at hit at lunch time! I love the little muffin cups used to separate the food too! Cute idea!
If your child is anything like mine they could live off of peanut butter, apples and carrots. Here’s a fun way to give them exactly what they want but in a non sandwich type form! Again, using those cute little muffin cups to keep everything in order!
When creating the school lunches try adding a fun dipping sauce to any of your food combinations. I find my child will eat more fruits and veggies if it has a fun sauce to go with it.
Wow these are awesome ideas, my kids would be the cool kid in the lunch room if I sent them to school with these, lol. The meatloaf swords and the grape jelly roll ups look amazing!
