I remember it well. Those nights when I rocked my baby to sleep, left the room, fell asleep myself only to awaken to the screaming of the sleeping baby who is in a puddle of pee. I’d have to get her up, change her nightie, sheets and then get her back to sleep. I wonder, if had NEW Pampers Swaddlers that are NOW available through Size 5 and the NEW Pampers Cruisers that are more absorbent than ever, if I would have gotten the Gift of Sleep all night long.
I have a dear friend who has four daughters, ages 9 to 10 months. My girls and hers are quickly becoming best friends. The other day, her girls wanted a play day with mine. I was happy to oblige and all six girls- we had the little baby – disappeared into the play area and we rarely saw them.
During my chat with my friend – aka MOM – she talked about the lack of sleep she had been getting lately. Her baby just was not wanting to go to sleep or stay asleep. She and her husband work full time so even switching off at night was wearing them out.
I remembered those days well so I felt really bad for her, even offering to have her bring all 4 girls over for one night so they could sleep! She may not let them have a sleepover but I could at least take them all day one day so she and her hubs could nap!
Later that week, still thinking about how exhausted she must be, I decided to put a ‘Gift of Sleep’ basket to take to her. When Pampers sent me their newest innovation, the awesome soft and comfortable Pampers Swaddlers that are now available UP TO SIZE 5 and Pampers Cruisers that are now even more absorbent, I was on my way!

No mom wants to be woken up like I used to be. To a baby with a leaking diapers. Pampers Swaddlers were always absorbent but my kids grew out of them fast. So to have the same soft and absorbent diapers available to up Size 5 now is amazing! And then to transition to the wiggly toddlers with now more absorbent Pampers Cruisers is a win win.
Adding to the Pampers diapers I got, I went shopping. I purchased Pampers Wipes – because no mom ever has enough of those. As an addition to baby, I added night time body wash and lotion. We need all the help we can get! And then I went hunting. I wanted my friend and her husband to relax and drift off into a peaceful sleep knowing their baby would not wake with a leaky diaper!
I added a super soft blanket, an Ocean scented candle, a relaxation CD and a pair of soft, fuzzy slippers for them both! I packed it all into a fabric basket and took it over. Now, they did not want to be on the blog but, rest assured, Mom and Dad were so surprised and thankful! Mom even squealed when she saw the Size 3 Swaddlers included. She had missed them when her baby outgrew them!
I was so happy that they were happy. Even more so because I knew that baby would have one more reason not to wake up at night!
Who would you give the Gift of Sleep to? Yourself? A friend?
