The American Cancer Society also cites in their 2015-2016 Breast Cancer Facts & Figures report, “Mammography is the single most effective method of early detection since it can often identify cancer several years before physical symptoms develop.”

Today, May 8, 2016, kicks off National Women’s Health Week and it really has me thinking. I am due for a whole lot of ‘check ups’ and necessary tests. In fact, at 43, I have never had a Mammogram. Not because I am scared to have one. Not because I don’t know that they are important but just because I don’t normally make time for my appointments over everything I have to do for my kids. But, as a promise to myself, during this week that we need to be putting ourselves first, I am scheduling an appointment and getting it done. Thanks to Solis Mammogram in Houston, with 4 area locations, I should be able to schedule that mammogram fairly easily.

I do the occassional self exam and it bothers me that I may be missing a smaller lump that could be minor to treat now. So a mammogram can tell me my if my breast tissue is 100% healthy. Get the facts, call Solix Mammogram and set up an appointment and get that early treatment that is so key to treatment!
