It seems there is a day for everything! But National Frozen Custard Day I can get behind! Especially since it is 106 degrees in TX, in the shade! A while back I went on a date with a man who took me to a frozen custard shop. I had never heard of frozen custard and was hooked. Though the man did not last past that first date, my love for frozen custard did! So imagine my excitement when I found Dreyer’s Frozen Custard in my grocer’s freezer?

Dreyer’s Frozen Custard comes in six flavors, representative of classic flavors and mix-in offerings found at frozen custard stands around the country:

  • Old Fashioned Vanilla
  • Chocolate Malt
  • Mint Cookies N’ Cream
  • Peanut Butter Pie
  • Salted Caramel Pretzel
  • Snickerdoodle

I found almost all at my local store but had to try the Snickerdoodle and Salted Caramel Pretzel first! Now, I am not saying I have a favorite but the Salted Caramel Pretzel is amazing!! It contains enough sweet and a hint of salt to make it truly addictive!

The Snickerdoodle is a smooth, flavorful frozen custard that has little crunchy pieces inside that make you very, very happy! Much smoother than ice cream, the frozen custard is devilishly easy to enjoy!

You can get all of the flavors at your local store! I am actually headed back today to get some more flavors – what? You thought two flavors would last around here? – HA – for a fun picnic in the back yard! After all, when you have a fun frozen custard treat to enjoy, the heat does not seem so bad!

Which flavor of Dreyer’s Frozen Custard do you think you would like best? I would love to hear!
