Psssttt.  Yeah, you.  Guess what?  It’s November already and that means Christmas is coming!!!

We haven’t been together long enough for you to know this yet- but Christmas is my absolute most favorite time of the year, hands down.  I love the excitement.  I love that it brings family and friends together.  I love the decorations (afterall, I do have 7 Christmas trees!).  But most of all, I love the Traditions!  This year in our house, we are beginning a NEW tradition- The Christmas Web.

The Christmas Web

You all have some sort of traditions in your families, right?  In our family it’s almost a challenge to see who can put up and decorate the most Christmas trees every year (I’m winning by the way).  We make homemade cookies.  We leave out cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.  I watch A Smoky Mountain Christmas….a LOT (what can I say- I love that movie!).  We have the Elf on a Shelf (two actually).  This year we are adding to our traditions and introducing The Christmas Web to our family.

There is nothing more exciting as a child than coming down the stairs (or hallway, or wherever) Christmas morning to see the tree lit up, the presents laid out and the stockings full of goodies.  There’s nothing more exciting as a parent than seeing the look on your child’s face when they see all this.  The twinkle in their eyes.  The look of “oh-my-gosh-Santa-DID-come” on their face.  Now, factor in a maze of sorts all over your living room (or wherever your stockings are).  I can hardly even wait to try this out with Joe and Lorelai.

The Christmas Web

The Christmas Web gift set includes a 54-page children’s book and three magic wands (each has 70 yards of colorful yarn).  When your children wake up on Christmas morning they will find that a “Web of Christmas Cheer” has been woven throughout your house.  It starts at their stocking and ends at a special gift that has been hidden especially for them by Santa and their elf.  I am so excited to try this out that I tried to talk my husband into letting me start decorating for Christmas this weekend.  I apparently was not convincing enough.

You can start the Christmas Web tradition in your own home this holiday season by purchasing yours at Christmasweb.com or from Amazon.  You can also enter to WIN a copy for your family by filling out the entries below.  We would love to hear about your family’s Christmas Web experience after the holidays (and see some pictures) and hopefully share your story.  A Day in Motherhood would also like you to comment below with some of your families favorite traditions for the holiday season.

Congratulations to our winner: Corrine G.!!!
