It is no secret that I am a coffee junkie.  I would drink it all day and all night if I could.  But I prevent myself from doing it because, for some reason, I will suffer that 3 o’clock slump that makes me want to curl up in a corner and drift off to peaceful slumber if I do.  And with three kids at home that can create havoc in less than 30 seconds, it is not advisable for me to just drift off.

So I drink my one cup and suffer through with the exhaustion of a working from home mom.

Many times in stores I have passed 5 Hour Energy products wondering if they really stood up to the claim that they give you 5 hours of energy with no crash later.  If it is true I need to stock up!

Lo and behold, I was the lucky recipient of a 6 pack of 5-Hour Energy, the Berry flavor, just last week!  I love how that happens!

Day 1, skepticism fully in place, I chug – a – lugged my first bottle!  Now, I am not going to say that it is the absolute best stuff I have ever tasted… it has a little bit of a tart kick back, but it is a light liquid with a decent flavor and can easily be enjoyed on a daily – or as needed – basis!

As I waited for the product to take affect, I read a little about it.  Interestingly, 5-Hour Energy has B-Vitamins, Amino Acids and Zero Sugar and only 4 calories per bottle!  That is so awesome!  You have to love a product that helps you get things done without adding to your diet!

Slowly, but surely, I started to notice that I was more in the mood to get things done.  I did the dishes, folded some laundry, paid some bills and really felt… GOOD!  Good like I get a good nights sleep every night and good like I really want to get stuff done!  I did not feel groggy or hyper, just energized!

The next day, the same thing.  And the next and so on.  And not one time did I feel like curling up and taking a nap after the 5 hours that it says it lasts!  I have been more productive and more energized for my kids and I love that!

I’ll still have my morning coffee but now I have a healthier alternative to get me through the tired part of the day!
