Anything that will get my kids to eat healthy snacks is a win for me! Especially if they special request it! Years ago I saw a snack that was so cute that I promised one day I would make it for my kids. Well, years later, I actually remembered seeing it! Peanut Butter Frogs combine the healthy snacks of apples, strawberries, raisins and peanut butter all in one! When I received the NEW Skippy Peanut Butter Singles Packs, I had my inspiration to create these with and for my kids!

Peanut Butter Frogs

Creamy peanut butter is the key here. But I have three kids who always want to help. So opening a large jar and having to pass it around or even doling it out onto plates is just messy. I love these new singles that allow me to give one to each kid. The single packs make them want to help! In addition, I have noticed that they ask for more fruit or veggies as a snack when I pair it with their very own Skippy Peanut Butter single!

Peanut Butter Frogs

The frogs are super easy. You will need Granny Smith Apples, Skippy Singles Creamy Peanut Butter, raisins and a strawberry.

Assemble is pretty straight forward as well.

Slice the apples. Make sure that they are sliced so that the green part is wide than the inner part of the apple. Like little ramps!

Slice the strawberry lengthwise so that you get little ‘tongues’.

Peanut Butter Frogs

Lay one apple slice down, wide side out, spread with Skippy Creamy Peanut Butter. Lay the strawberry ‘tongue’ in the peanut butter, leaving most of it hanging out. Lay the second slice on top of the peanut butter. Dollop a  little peanut butter on each raisin and add them to the frog as eyes!

That is it! So simple even I can do it!

Skippy Single Peanut Butter is a great travel accessory, picnic item and snack for kids. Be sure to pick them up now in stores!
