My kids LOVE Dr. Seuss books! I would even venture to say that my 6 year old memorized the Dr. Seuss books that we read to him, and then learned the words easily when he started to read. He is an excellent little reader ( Okay, I’m biased.. but he impresses me all the time) and to think that Dr. Seuss gave him his reading start.
