For a while now I have wanted to go Gluten-Free.  Just to try it.  I wanted to see if it would help stabilize my mood, help my digestive track and more.  So when Udi’s offered to send me some great recipes and such to try to go Gluten-Free for 14 days, I was all about it.

Gluten is a protein found in wheat, rye and barley.  It gives breads the binding qualities.  It is most commonly found in cereals, breads, pastas, cakes, and cookies.  It can case people who can not tolerate it to be tired, have GI tract issues, tingling and numbness in the legs and irritability.

Udi’s Gluten-Free foods offer a wide variety of delicious, healthy alternatives for a Gluten-Free diet.  In fact, their mission is to show all of us a new approach to Gluten-Free living with off the shelf, affordable foods that you can get right at your grocery store.  And since there is no downside to trying to go Gluten-Free it only makes sense that we try it and see if things improve in our own lives!

I received an array of awesome products, some great recipes and a 14 day tip sheet to help me on my way.  I LOVED the Udi’s Brownie Bites.  Well, at least the ONE I got.  My daughter, Katie ate them up and loved them!  So poor me was stuck with the Double Chocolate Muffins.  I know… somehow I survived.

First and foremost, this food does not even close to taste like it is lacking anything!  Seriously, this is super easy food to eat every day.  And I loved that I could get up in the morning, grab a muffin and go about my business with little effort.  Very important this for a mom of three!

I also received the AWESOME Cinnamon Raisin Bagels.  Oh my deliciousness! Toast these up with some jelly and breakfast will be filling and tasty!

Now, I will be honest here.  I have to still do my total 14 days in a row.  I know, shame on me.  But just as I started I left for an 8 day cruise and then I have been playing major catch up since I have been back.  So, eating and making sure I am Gluten-Free has been not as sucessful as I had hoped to date!  BUT, I wanted to bring you this information now so that you could see how beneficial these foods are!

I did do the plan for 3 days before I left and I swear I did feel like I was less bloated and had a little more energy.  I can not be sure if that was the excitement over the cruise or the food but things were defiantly moving in a great direction!  I have since gone back to it and do feel a little more balanced and energized.  Plus, the food is just GOOD!
