My #Cinspiration Journey Month 5: Down 26 Pounds + a Video

Well here we are.  Month 5 of my Cinch plan with the Shaklee Corporation and I am feeling better than ever!  I am down from about 180 to start to 154 this morning! YES!  I KNOW!

I feel GREAT!  I feel pretty and sexy and people are noticing all over the place.  My size 12 jeans are falling off of me and these are down from 16′s a few months ago.  I am actually afraid to go to the store and see if I am a smaller size now in case I am not!  So, I just will wear baggy jeans until I can build up my confidence!

My video this month focuses on exercise and how you can get it when you least expect it.  Again, I do not have a videographer – she’s been working late – so bear with me as I try to explain this without a face ;)  But my point is that it does not matter what you do.  If you can make small changes in your life, you can create ways to get exercise without the stress of HAVING to exercise!

 
As you can see, it is definitely not your typical running, work out video type of exercise.  But with the new found energy I have found, I have to combine my exercise with productivity!

Where I started: 180 pounds.  I have a 48 inch waist, 27″ thighs, 46″ chest and 14″ arms

Where I am now:  154 pounds.  I now have a 37.5 inch waist, 22″ thighs, and 12″ arms

So, in 5 months I am down 26 pounds, 10.5″ in my waist, 5″ in my thighs and 2″ in my arms.

My 3 Months Result on the CINCH Plan & A Realistic Video #Cinchspiration

So, officially, I am LATE on telling you guys how I did during month 3 of the Cinch plan from the Shaklee Corporation  And not because I do not continue to be excited about the program and love it, but just because life happens sometimes! In any event, I am THRILLED to announce that, despite back to school, taking care of these crazy kids and other stresses that made this month one of the businest ever, that I DID LOSE some more weight.

In fact, I lost 4 pounds which puts me….  wait for it….

20 POUNDS OFF in 3 Months!

Yep, I started at 180 and some change and now I am at 160 and some change.  Like 160.4.    Now, my measurements are EXACTLY the same as last month so I could have broken even and other factors show weight loss but I am still as thrilled as I can be!  Check out my progress in the photos below:

Now, I realize that 4 pounds in a month does not seem like that big of a deal but it SO IS!  Especially with all of the running and doing and opportunity to GAIN 4 pounds in a month!

I am really enjoying the CINCH plan and am looking forward to staying on track this next month!  As you can see, it is super easy and fun to do and it IS WORKING!  Now, I just need to get more exercise in and less running around like  a chicken with my head cut off!

My Two Month Results on the CINCH Plan + WIN a Starter Kit ($228 Value) #Cinchspiration

Entering month 2 of the Cinch Plan has been as easy and delicious as when it started.  And that is hard to say about a “diet” plan.  As many will know – especially if you have ever been on a plan to lose weight and get healthy – it is easy to get bored with the routine and products.

But, so far, I am still ticking along.  Slowly, surely and quietly, but I am. As of 8/20, 2 months after I started this journey, I have lost a comfortable 14 pounds!

Yes!  I know!  Even more impressive, I have lost inches!  I have gone from 48″ to 45″ in my waist, 27″ to 25 1/2″ in my thighs and half an inch, from 14″ to 13 1/2″ inches in my arms.  I don’t know about you, but I am pretty thrilled any time I lose pounds.  But to lose inches means I must be doing something right!

This is just motivation to keep going, to be honest!  I hope that in another 2 months, I am reporting that I am down 20+ pounds!

But – as I stated earlier – any plan can come with the dullness of routine and boredom.  In order to keep it fresh, I have tried everything to make the shakes new and exciting every chance I get.  Check out my video below to see how simple it is to add a little flare to a shake I like best!

So, far, I am having a great time on the CINCH plan!  I am still loving the meal bars and snack bars – and have discovered a Peanut Butter obsession – and take my Boost caplets faithfully (sort of).  I am drinking more water, getting up and getting active more – despite the grueling Houston heat – and am enjoying some new found energy and looser pants!

50 Bloggers, 50 Pounds & 6 Months: My Journey Begins with #Cinchspiration

This is possibly the hardest post I have ever had to write on this blog.  Because it exposes the weaknesses in my life and the struggles that I make a joke about, but have now become a health factor.  The extra 50 pounds I am carrying – also known as the ‘quads’ – has been a contributing factor to lung and heart issues and, though he won’t come right out and tell me I am obese, the Doctor has said that getting this weight off will help my damaged lungs and stressed out heart work better and longer.

With three daughters, what choice do I really have?  Even entertaining the idea that I could have a heart attack or a lung infection that could kill me is too much for my mind.  So, instead of updating my will, I’ll be updating my life, my mindset and my self- respect for ME!

Not only that, but in November, I will be 40 years old.  I would really like to lose 40 pounds by the age of 40.  That is almost 6 months and I think I can do it.  I don’t mind having 10 pounds to go at 40!

So… here I am.  In my swimsuit because I still have lead tape all over me and ashamed because I know better and let myself do this to me anyway.

 A week or so ago, my 5’1″ frame weighed in at an unhealthy -and unsightly – 180 pounds.  Yes.  I have a 48 inch waist, 27″ thighs, 46″ chest and 14″ arms.  Heavier and larger than I have ever been, sans 9 months pregnant with my oldest daughter.  How did this happen to a woman who played semi- professional tennis 4 to 6 days a week prior to having kids?

Answer:  Binge eating.  As a mom, I put myself last.  And so I won’t eat anything all day and then will binge at night while I am working. And I grab anything easy.  Chips, cheese, candy, cookies… no apples and broccoli for me!  No, it was unhealthy, quick to eat food.  That packed on the pounds faster than I could stock up the pantry.

Add to that my complete lack of exercise and it is a sad state that I have let my once toned, though always curvy, body fall into.

But thanks to the Shaklee Corporation, I am one of 50 bloggers that has been chosen to go through their program in an attempt to get healthy!  I could not be more excited…  and apprehensive… and scared – to be brutally honest.  Because if this does not work and I do not do it the way I am supposed to, my life could be shorter for my girls.

And no one wants that LESS than me!

I have been on the program for about a week now and I am more than pleasantly surprised!  The shakes are amazing, the meal bars are filling, tasteful and I actually crave them.  And the pomegranate tea and snack bars are delicious and satisfying!  And the carefully blended 3 -in- 1 multivitamin keeps me in check inside while I am trying to look better outside!  During this 1st week, I have dropped 4 pounds.  Typically, you will lose 2 -3 pounds a week so I am sure I’ll slow down.  But I’ll take 176 pounds over 180 any day of the week!
