I could not be more excited to bring you the awesome movie, Disneynature’s: Chimpanzee on Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo in Blu-ray Packaging!  Released on August 21, 2012, this movie will warm your hearts, bring you respect for nature and entertain every member of your family!

I was blessed to have gone to the Red Carpet Premier of CHIMPANZEE and to interview the Directors and the amazing Jane Goodall!  But despite all of the fanfare and amazing things I got to do on the trip, my favorite memory was seeing the movie!

 I truly loved the sweet story of a baby Chimp who loses his mom and the adoption story that follows.  Being adopted myself, I marveled at the amazing connection and love that was shown through the story.  Be captivated by a true natural event and let it resonate through your life!

Besides the important story, the backdrop of the African Rain Forest is breathtaking.  The scenery, the animals, the truth that lies in the dense and dangerous forest are captivating and awe inspiring!  A whole other world is introduced and the images will stay with you for a lifetime!

Gather your children, your friends and your open heart and join Oscar as he grows up amid turmoil and trauma to become the Chimpanzee that your heart falls in love with!

I showed this movie to my children a few nights ago and, though I thought it might be scary and sad in some places, they loved it!  They adored Oscar and his mother and then his adoptive family!  And the parts I thought they would not like were so thoughtfully shot and so much left up to the imagination that they sailed through it with no problem!  They laughed as Oscar played, dreamed along with him and even squeezed their Oscar plush as he slept!

With bonus features such as the See Chimpanzee, Save Chimpanzee conservation program information with interviews with Dr. Jane Goodall, a feature about Disney’s Friend’s for Change and Disney’s Conservation Legacy information, this movie can also inspire change in your own home!

Also, enjoy the Making of Chimpanzee feature that takes you on location with the cameramen and the directors who trekked the African forest following Oscar and his family!  I love this feature!  It is funny and eye opening for sure!
