I am the first one to admit that I get busy in the mornings and forget to have breakfast. My kids always do but I, as most moms do, often put my own food on the back burner to ‘get later’. In trying to make better decisions and to get myself back on a regular schedule, I am looking for foods to crave for breakfast. We all know that when we crave something, we want it! So when I was shopping at Walmart the other day, I was looking for something new and interesting that could spruce up my toast or fruit so that I HAD to have it at breakfast time! I found it too! Having heard it was on shelves from The J.M. Smucker Company, I picked up NEW Jif Cinnamon Peanut Butter. As I was looking around, I came across NEW Jif Bars! I grabbed a few boxes and headed home to try them out and to see if I would be one of the growing number of peanut butter happy people with these new products!
First and foremost, you have to know that I am a fan of peanut butter and use it as a go to spread for everything. Strawberries, apples, pita bread… anything. But adding the simple hint of cinnamon to the already creamy flavor of Jif is just genius! Jif Cinnamon Peanut Butter spreads SO easily, and it adds a little kick of flavor that gets me excited to get up in the morning and have breakfast!
In fact, this morning, I dipped my strawberries and apples into it and then spread it on my warm pita bakery bread for a delicious breakfast that tasted amazing. It was easy and fit into my crazy morning schedule perfectly! Just unscrew the lid, spread it on and enjoy!
Later in the day, while working away on everything I need to do, I felt that familiar pang of hunger. It was not meal time but it was distracting. So I grabbed a Jif Chocolate and Peanut Butter Bar and snacked away. The creamy layer of peanut butter combined with the crunch of the bar that is topped off with a layer of chocolate is not only delicious, but it hit the spot! These bars are also available in Peanut Butter and Hazelnut flavors!
