Currently in my house; laundry needs to be folded, loads waiting in line to be washed, dished are protesting at not being done, floors scream to be seen under the toys and the children’s bathroom needs a wipe down. It is not that my house is messy and dirty – it really is not that bad – but we live here and if I miss just one day of maintenance, it becomes a chore to tend to it. Add three kids who are my constant reminders that I have other people to put before me and some days, I feel I never get that ‘me’ time we all crave. So, the other day, I made myself a little treat while the girls were at school and that evening, while they were inside playing, I escaped to the back porch with my Mini HÄAGEN-DAZS® Ice Cream Sandwiches.
Now, these little jewels can not be made with just ANY ice cream off the shelf. If you are going to spoil yourself for all of the hard work you do in your life that no one else seems to think is a big deal, it has to be a special, truly spoiling treat! When shopping at Walmart the other day, I came across NEW HÄAGEN-DAZS® Gelato. Ummm…. want it much? They only had one flavor on the shelf so I found an employee who found more flavors for me!
I picked up the new flavor Caramelized Banana Chip and immediately envisioned my feet up, my taste buds dancing and my mind taking me to the South of France in a flowery romance novel. As I fell in love right on then spot my eyes landed on some other flavors that were begging for a home in my freezer. So I picked up Tiramisu, Pomegranate Swirl and Pistachio. But I was not done. I had to try the NEW Dark Chocolate Pomegranate bars as well!
Oh these bars of amazing flavor would be perfect for that quick indulgent snack when I only had a moment. In fact, let’s take a moment to imagine the rich HÄAGEN-DAZS® chocolate hugging the smooth and creamy Pomegranate flavor as cherubs fly over head, dish towel in hand, drying my stack of dishes.

With all 4 Gelato flavors and the bars in hand it was time to make a real effort to get some spoiling me time at home. The Mini HÄAGEN-DAZS® Ice Cream Sandwiches were so easy to put together and even more amazing to treat myself to. The mix of flavor of the HÄAGEN-DAZS® Gelato and the ladyfingers plus the chocolate and caramel swirl was so incredibly indulgent, I was forced to eat more than one!
- Any flavor of NEW HÄAGEN-DAZS® Gelato
- 1 package of Ladyfingers
- Chocolate Chips
- Caramel Chips
- Lay the ladyfingers out on a tray lined with parchment paper. Put the bottom sides of the ladyfingers on it. Top with HÄAGEN-DAZS® Gelato. Add top of lady finger. Melt chocolate and caramel according to the package instructions. Using a spoon ' flick' the chocolate and caramel across the top op the sandwiches. Freeze for at least an hour. Enjoy!
