I love my friends and I love when my friends have babies.  Sadly, due to my schedule and a – never ever ever ending – upper respiratory infection, I have not been able to see the most beautiful baby boy that my dear friend had two months ago.  I can not come into her home and cough all over her newborn, I just can’t.

But, because I love her and am so incredibly happy for her, I wanted to do something really special and show her that I am thinking of her, remember what it is like to have a newborn and two other kids, and remind her to take a little time to sit back and enjoy some time to herself too.

So I headed to Walmart with a vague idea of a relaxing hot tea basket.  I love tea and drink it in the afternoons.  I sit out on my back porch and watch the kids play and enjoy a cup every so often.  And I love the variety and flavors of Bigelow Tea so I knew that is what I wanted to share with her.  I wanted to give her a good variety of caffeinated and decaf teas to chose from!  A super easy task with Bigelow Teas!

In fact, I found such a great variety of Bigelow Teas on my Walmart shelves that I stood forever just trying to narrow what I wanted to get her down to a manageable amount.  Peppermint, Black Tea, Earl Grey’s, Pomegranate, Lemon, Peach, Orange and even flavored Green Teas.  I could go on for days! I surmised that I would get four great boxes of Bigelow Teas that I had enjoyed before and set off to get some goodies to go with them!

I found some fantastic Blueberry Scones in the bakery section, some awesome tea cups in the kitchen section and even a bowl to put it all in!  Trying to stay with the baby boy theme, I added some blue and green tissue paper to make it festive!

And then I took all of it, including some gifts I had been collecting for her and her beautiful family, to her door step.  I am still pretty sick with this infection – and she was not ready for photos (we new moms understand that) so I left the gifts and called her to tell her to open her front door!

I stalked her from afar waving and tearing up that I can not give her a huge hug and see her new little sweet baby boy but thrilled that she got something I know she will LOVE!   I can not wait to get the messages and calls as she sits and drinks a nice, hot, relaxing glass of Peach Bigelow Tea.  No matter how hot it gets in Texas, a good cup of hot tea is always on the “spoil yourself” menu!
