Working from home mixed with weather that is either too hot or too rainy and throw in summer vacation meant I needed something my kids could do quietly indoors from time to time. Hasbro Studios and SHOUT! Kids Factory had my back.
We decided when our promotional rate left in July to get rid of our cable. Not the greatest timing, since it was a morbidly hot summer, and I had a lot of work to get done while the kids were home full time. We had been recording My Little Pony and Transformers Rescue Bots on our DVR, but when we turned off the cable, it meant all the recordings were gone too.
Sad face.
My kids were pretty bummed at first, but then we got this awesome bundle of our favorites, plus Littlest Pet Shop on DVD. The kids love taking turns watching their favorite episodes. On one particularly hot day, my oldest child came up with the brilliant idea to let everyone pick one episode from “their” movie. It just so happens I have 4 kids, so they each laid claim to one of the movies.
Even on days that we’ve been able to go outside and enjoy the outdoors, being able to come home and allow a little quiet time with the kids favorite characters has gone a long way in keeping the peace around here. I can’t wait to see more of our favorite episodes released!
