$2, $4, $6, $8 - We Shopped and Saved on What We Ate... at Denny's

The month of the year that I call, ‘The drowning of the bank account’ can also be known as Back to School time. I am just weeks away from sending my kids back to the land of learning. For this event, I need clothing, backpacks, tennis shoes and more. To do that, I need to watch my dollars and cents so that they can stretch, maneuvering the sale racks until I am satisfied that my children have what they need for a successful year! In the midst of the cute graphic tee’s, the sparkling tennis shoes and the ‘Oh my gosh, Mom, I have to have that!’s, we need to eat. On a budget, that is hard to do unless I carouse through a fast food place which is never, ever my preference. Lucky for me, I know that Denny’s has quality food, a great atmosphere, something for everyone and the $2468 Menu!

With just $20, I can feed my family of 4 with breakfast, lunch, dinner and even dessert! Yep, $20!! I do it all the time and even have food left over! So the other day, while battling the 100 degree heat outside and needing a break from the shopping mania inside, I decided a great place to stop, relax and eat on a budget was Denny’s! After all, we all need a place to go where we get a hot meal that fits into the back to school budget!

With just $20, I ordered so much food that we ended up giving some to a table nearby! Seriously, I could have fed all 4 of us for just $10! But to see how much I could get for just $20, I ordered something from each menu. So I got the $2 Strawberry Pancake Puppies^® Sundae, $4 Everyday Value Slam^®,$6 Eggs in a Basket and $8 Grand Slam Slugger^®!!

I don’t know about you, but this could feed my family for a few meals! So much food for so little money is just an awesome thing during this time of the year when we spend so much on our kids! Stop in for breakfast before you hit the stores, take a break at lunch or end the day with a hot dinner meant to satisfy your shopping hunger!

This is the thing I love about Denny’s, though. They have so many awesome choices for anyone. Whether on a budget, with kids in tow, early in the morning or late at night, they welcome you with open arms and choices galore!
