I think I am a pretty normal mom.  I spend most of my day taking care of my children’s need and the evening spending time with my husband.  When I do get time alone, I am cleaning, or blogging, or catching up on something I am behind on.

Taking care of me tends to take a back seat!

So when Kroger offered me a gift card to go to their store and load up on CoverGirl make up, something I need desperately, I jumped at it!

I already knew that Kroger would have the lowest prices on CoverGirl in my area.  Every week when I am there shopping, I pass the make up aisle and see the bright yellow signs advertising that they sell CoverGirl for 25% off every day, no matter what!

So, for $30, I knew I could pretty much do up my whole face with quality make up!

I grabbed my gift card, waved good-bye to my kids and husband, and headed to my Kroger in Houston, TX.  I waved at the all familiar staff as I walked in and headed to the aisle that I usually pass because I am in a hurry to get things for my family.

I looked at every product that CoverGirl carried.  So many choices!  I took my time and enjoyed my search.

After assessing the amazing prices on every item, I picked the following:

AquaSmooth Ivory Make Up Foundation Regular Retail = $7.99   Kroger price $5.99

CoverGirl Professional Loose Powder.   Regular Retail = $5.99   Kroger price = $4.49

CoverGirl Exact Eyelights in vivid greens  Regular Retail = $7.99  Kroger price = $5.99

LashBlastLength extreme length mascara Regular Retail = $8.50  Kroger Price = $6.37

CoverGirl Cheekers Blush Regular Retail = $4.29  Kroger Price = $3.22

CoverGirl LipPerfection lipstick Regular Retail = $7.49   Kroger Price = $5.62

I took a look at my haul, realized that I had enough make up to do up my whole face for just about $30 before tax and headed to the check out to see if that was, in fact, the case!

I watched as the cashier rang up my six items and was thrilled when the total came out to be just $33.21!  Which means that I just made myself pretty for pretty cheap!

And when I looked at my receipt, I saw that, in fact, I had saved the 25% that Kroger had advertised!  Without their every day sale prices, I would have paid $42.25 for the exact same products!  And I can think of a lot of things I would rather spend my savings of $9.04 on!

Like a new hair accessory to top off my new, made up face!
