Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.

Director and Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton takes audiences back to the extraordinary underwater world created in the original film. “There is no Dory without Ellen,” said Stanton. “She won the hearts of moviegoers all over the world—not to mention our team here at Pixar. One thing we couldn’t stop thinking about was why she was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In ‘Finding Dory,’ she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way.”

The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, CA Puts Style Back in Sophistication #LanghamPasadena #DisneyOzEvent

There were so many amazing things that happened on my trip to California for the Oz the Great and Powerful World Premier that I almost forgot to tell you about the amazing, beautiful, elegant and classy hotel that we stayed in.

It is a hotel you have heard of if you watched The Bachelorette get married last year. Ashley and J.P. tied the knot in the very hotel we stayed. We even got to see the ballroom where the reception was help!

The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, California is simply exquisite. Elegance drips from the halls and sophistication and style mold themselves to every crevice as no detail is overlooked in the rooms or in the common areas.

Entering the hotel you are immediately a special guest. The staff tends to your every need with a smile and makes you feel right at home. They meet you at the car and you are treated like the only one there from that moment on. Now, I know that a lot of hotels have amazing staff. But the genuine friendliness struck me as the norm here and I felt it through my entire stay.

Before we got the keys to our rooms, we sat out in the large, beautiful courtyard and soaked in the fresh air and sunshine that California is famous for. The trees were blooming and we felt spoiled in the cloak of flowers gently swaying in the breeze.

When I did enter my room, my smile beamed at the feeling of ultimate luxury that was going to spoil me for the days to come. My room was spacious and my view unobstructed and breath taking. I watched as people milled around the back of the hotel on the sidewalks and lush grounds as I stood up above in my room. I did not want to leave it, to be honest. The warm, inviting bed did not have three children in it and the large television would not have Dora or Spongebob on it.

But there was so much to explore that I had to get out and look around.

I found the indoor/ outdoor bar to be charming and the perfect place to relax after a long day. And the poolside restaurant where I enjoyed a delicious lunch was straight out of a movie set.

The Langham Pasadena is enough off the beaten path to give you the privacy and getaway you need but close enough to attractions and spots to see that you still get to tour Pasadena and the surrounding cities and enjoy your vacation.

Next time you are headed to California make sure you check into the Lanham Pasadena. You’ll be cloaked with old time charm and style with the flare of modern sophistication.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 Movie Collection is a MUST OWN Review & Giveaway Expired

I do not think there is a Disney movie that I do not love. In fact, anytime one comes out of the vault, even if it is not in theaters, I jump on it for my collection.

I did not see The Hunchback Of Notre Dame or The Hunchback Of Notre Dame II back when I was a child so the fact that I can get it on Blu-Ray combo now is a real treat! I have to be honest, I wondered if it would scare my children but it did not. And I have a new Disney hero to love as well!

In the original Hunchback, Quaisimodo, we see a most unlikely hero befriend Esmerelda and watch the drama as they work together to save the city they love so much from certain ruin. Check out an awesome clip below:

A Lunch with Disney Animation’s Great’s Tony and Tom Bancroft of Mulan Fame & More #DisneyOzEvent

The absolute MOST fun interview I have ever had the pleasure of sitting in on was with Tony and Tom Bancroft, Director’s and Animation Supervisors for Disney. You might know their work in the amazing Mulan, now out of the vault and on shelves everywhere!

These Disney greats are twin brothers who have been drawing and creating their whole lives. With a healthy dose of brotherly competition and an eye for creating characters in an instant that will enthrall and entertain, their animation in real life is as large as what comes to life on screen.

While in Los Angeles for the #DisneyOzEvent and World Premier of Oz The Great and Powerful, we got to enjoy a wonderful Chinese lunch and chat session with these very busy men!

First they filled us in on how drawing and imagining is a lifelong passion. They laughed that while getting them no dates in school, it did give them inspiration and characters that they are thrilled to bring to life now.

Both father’s, they love that they can create for kids and still draw just for fun to this day. In fact, in their spare time, they created original drawings – and autographed them – for all 25 of us bloggers who were there!

As we listened to Tony and Tom Bancroft talk about escaping into art as children and honing their craft their whole lives, they casually sketched Mushu and Khan from Mulan. Just as if they were writing their names, they made the characters come to life in chalk before our eyes.

It truly was amazing to watch.

As Tony talked about Mulan and the creation of the lovable sidekicks, they shared the pride they had in the film. And for them to have this much pride after being in the animation industry for 30 years is pretty cool. It is a testament to the film and I have to agree that it is an amazing one.

We also learned some really interesting things. Like, look for the hidden Mickey in the beginning of the film! I found it, can you? Tom also discussed his incredible passion and push to have Mushu be purple. But the final color was red. However, if you watch carefully, there is a scene where Mushu’s tail is purple. Disney called Tom and told him to look for it and he was so excited to see it! Can you spot the scene?
