What person doesn’t love looking thru a Kaleidoscope? I know that it was one of my favorite toys when I was a kid. It always fascinated me that the image was never exactly the same. I could have looked thru a Kaleidoscope for hours!

Well, I was recently introduced to a Teleidoscope. My first question was …What is a Teleidoscope and what makes it different from a Kaleidoscope. I found this video:

She even said, “Mommy, are we allowed to play with it.” :) I was so happy that she wanted to play with it, and the quality of the piece made it easy for me to say yes.

My1Story Lil’ Riding Hood Plush & Book Review & Giveaway Expired

I just got My1Story Lil’ Riding Hood Plush & Book and I am totally impressed. My daughter Sami is IN LOVE with the dolly. She is so cute, with those big green eyes. She is soooooo soft too.

First I read the book to her. She held Lil’ Riding Hood and went through the motions with her as if she were actually acting out the book. Then, Sami decided she wanted to read the book to Lil’ Riding Hood. So she got all comfortable and set Lil’ Riding Hood next to her and read.

Sami is only 5 and can’t read really well, however, she was able to read most of the words. So, it was great.

The story is a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood with a fun twist. You will find out the twist when you read it.

As you can see from the picture above, the book is a great size (10″ x 10″). It is hard bound and the text is big enough that you could read it to a group of children and they could all read along with you. The pictures are great. The ‘BIG BAD WOLF’ of the original story has been replaced with a cute little wolf named “Wolfie”. So it isn’t as scary as the original story.

My1Story books and plush toys are available exclusively on Amazon at this time. They are priced around $12.99. The plush toys are priced at $14.99. I can totally see the Lil’ Riding Hood plush becoming a child’s favorite dolly. Since there are no eyes to pop off or buttons sewn on, this could be given to a younger child, say, 18 months or so.

Get Cooking: A Jewish American Family Cookbook Review

No, I am not Jewish…but I have many friends who are. And this cookbook is GREAT for all ages. It is hard cover and spiral bound. I love my cookbooks to be spiral bound, it helps them lay flat while you are cooking. The pages are glossy and should stand up well to little splashes in the kitchen.

The one thing that impressed me most, this cookbook isn’t like an ordinary cookbook. It isn’t just recipes and pretty pictures. There are jokes, holiday activities and cultural lessons.

The one thing that moms of all cultures seem to have to deal with…making food that their kids will eat. Well, this cookbook also recreates some of the Jewish favorites in a kid friendly way.

The cookbook also features a CD with with songs to get you dancing and singing as you cook. Check out some of the songs & jokes on the CD HERE. This cookbook is truly a Jewish American Family cookbook. There are things to help engage kids of all ages (and adults too!) Check out the author’s website too!

My sweet little girls LOVE to wear bracelets and necklaces. When I got the package in the mail that Mungi Bands generously sent my girls, I was excited to see what they would think. The little magnetized bracelets are fun and colorful and can be a ton of fun for kids!

My girls LOVED these. We didn’t just put them on as bracelets, oh no. We linked more together to make a necklace. Used just 1, looped around our earlobes to make earrings. We even used them to dress up our stuffy friends. Check out how we totally dressed up this stuffy. Yes, he is COOL now.

One other thing that we used these for…TEACHING. We discussed the polarity of magnets and used these to discover how opposite poles attract each other. My girls LOVED that. Obviously, not what they were meant for, but it was fun all the same.

My Feeding Friend: Breast Feeding Support Pillow & So Much More Review

I have been trying to rid my home of chemicals and become more environmentally friendly. So, when I was introduce to MyCeladonRoad.com, I was excited to find out how easy they can make that transition for me.

I decided that I had to try the cleaning products. I am a sucker for a good all natural cleaner. However, I miss the fresh smell that I get from the ‘traditional’ cleaners. It always seems to be lacking when I try the all natural products. Well, not this time.

I received to review the All Purpose Cleaner and the Floor Cleaner. I also decided to try the Chef Towels. The Floor Cleaner worked well, however I would still mix it with a bit of water to stretch the dollar a bit further. The All Purpose Cleaner actually impressed me the most. I am not kidding when I say it smelled so good, that I actually wanted to just go around spraying it in every room just to make my house smell clean.

The Chef Towels are made of a really thick shammy type material. I actually think they will hold up better than the yellow shammies that we had before. These are nice and thick, and are very absorbent. Even though these are soft, they did a great job of scrubbing.

I tackled one of the toughest jobs with just the All Purpose Cleaner and the Chef Towel. I cleaned the top of my glass top stove. Having made lasagna that evening, I am sure I don’t have to tell you that meant there were some crumbles of sausage, some splatters of red sauce and a sprinkling of grease all over my cook top. (Ok, maybe there was a little more than a sprinkling). I didn’t clean it right away, because I assembled the lasagna and then waited for the cooktop to completely cool. When it did, it was quite the mess.

The All Purpose Cleaner cut through the grease very well, and the Chef Towel scrubbed everything right off. I was impressed. The kitchen smelled so completely clean…even though it was filthy except for the cook top. I can hardly wait to try some of the other cleaning products. And this is only one aspect of their company. I am so thankful to companies that help us go green easily and at a great price!
