Don’t Let Bugs Bug You: Use PestWorld.org to Help Tame Them #YikesABug

Truth be told, there was a time I was afraid of bugs.  But my theory has always been that if you are afraid of something, you should squish it dead with a shoe and tell the story of how it was bigger than Texas and you conquered it like a mighty warrior.

OK, maybe that is not my real theory, but it is my basis for my mantra.  Bugs are bugs.  I live in Texas so they are large – especially roaches and mosquitoes .  They don’t really bother me much anymore.  In fact, I can honestly say that I am all hands on deck when it comes to bugs in my home.

Or anywhere really!  For instance: I went to the Chimpanzee premier earlier this year and one of my housemates stumbled upon a baby roach crawling in her shower.  This was not a Texas Tree Roach that flew.  It was a little, bitty, itty, tiny little critter that I could have squished with my thumb.  But she freaked out completely.  So, grabbing my trusty shoe, I went in, cornered the little thing and smashed it.  I used cleaner to clean up after it and flushed it down the toilet.  My housemates were quite impressed.

Despite my no fear attitude, however, there are times that I need help identifying some strange thing that has crawled in my house from the yard.  Or I need help killing a group of bugs that my shoe just can not tackle.  Luckily, there is PestWorld.org!
